Dr. John Dengler
John M. Dengler was born in Saginaw, Michigan. He received a BS with honors in chemistry from Andrews University in 1982, and a medical degree from the Michigan State University School of Human Medicine in 1986. Dr. Dengler completed an internship in medicine at Saginaw Cooperative Hospitals in 1987 and a residency in neurology at Henry Ford Hospital from 1987 to 1990 where he was chief resident from 1989 to 1990. He then completed a fellowship in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology at Henry Ford Hospital 1990-1991. Dr. Dengler became board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 1992. He achieved diplomat in the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology 1993, and added qualification in clinical neurophysiology in 1996. Dr. Dengler added diplomat , American Board of Sleep Medicine in 2003. Dr. Dengler enjoys fishing during his free time. Dr. Dengler is available to see new patients.
Dr. N. Robb Whaley
N. Robb Whaley was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. He received a BS in chemistry from East Tennessee State University in 1997 where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and a medical degree from the James H. Quillen College of Medicine, East Tennessee State University in 2003. Dr. Whaley completed an internship in medicine and a residency in neurology at the Mayo Clinc from 2003 to 2008. He completed a fellowship in movement disorders and neurophysiology at the Mayo Clinic 2004-2010. Dr. Whaley became board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 2009. He is a member of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, American Academy of Neurology and Christian Medical and Dental Association. Dr. Whaley enjoys spending his free time with his family and music. Dr. Whaley is available to see new patients.
Shelly Howard, NP-C
Shelly Howard was born in Norton, Virginia. She received an associates degree of Applied Science in Nursing from Southeast Community College in 2002. Shelly received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University in 2004 and later received her Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Northern Kentucky University in 2008. In 2011 she obtained a post-masters certificate as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. Shelly was nominated by the Northern Kentucky University nursing facility and received the Clinical Excellence Award in 2011. Shelly is board certified from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is married to her husband Brandon since 2002 and they have 3 lovely children: Emma, Mason and Ben. Shelly enjoys spending her free time with her family.
Brandy Story, MSN, FNP-BC
Brandy M. Story, MSN, FNP-BC is a native of Jonesborough, Tennessee. She joined the practice in April 2018. She received an Associate of Science degree from Northeast State Technical Community College in 2008 then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from East Tennessee State University in 2011. She later received a Master of Science degree in Nursing from East Tennessee State University in 2017. Brandy is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She comes to the practice with 7 years of experience as a critical care registered nurse. Brandy is married to her husband Jamie. She loves spending time with her family and doing crossfit. Brandy looks forward to becoming connected with her patients and helping to support her community through advanced nursing practice.
